The Health Benefits of Ginger: Day 47

I used ginger on and off for years. I love it in stir fry and a brown rice dish that I make and of course with sushi. I knew it was suppose to be good for you but I like it, so the health benefits are only an added plus. I thought I’d look up exactly how good it actually is for you.

THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF GINGER

Here is a recipe for a brown rice dish I learned to make while visiting my friend Magda in Holland back in 1993. I’ve made it often since then.

Saute the garlic and ginger in a skillet with the olive oil or cooking spray.

Dice or slice the red and green peppers.

Add the peppers to the skillet and saute with the ginger and garlic.

Add the cooked brown rice to the mixture. Blend in the peppers and the ginger and garlic, sauteing until everything blends together.

After reading the health benefits of ginger tea, I’m going to make it a daily habit.

Thanks for the link to Health Benefits of Ginger Tea. It’s a really great tuber, I’ve always loved it for stir fry and soups. Now I will definitely add it to boiling water to make tea.ReplyCancel
