Helpful Holiday Thoughts: Day 40

I haven’t let the holiday’s throw me off and I am sticking firm to my commitment.

Two nights ago, I had a craving for Japanese food and I sort of decided that I could have the brown rice California Rolls without swaying from my eating plan.. Instead of ordering one,  I ordered 3.  I never should have had 3.  I haven’t been eating anything that isn’t plain and the very tiny bit of soy sauce I used caused a physical reaction. It’s interesting what we put in our bodies that’s harmful. Tons of it all the time. I had a craving last night for diet coke.. Didn’t have one but I wanted one.

Thanks to my sister Virginia, I came across this link that may be helpful for some.

“We all want to enjoy our favorite holiday foods, but studies show that many of us will pick up an extra pound or two as we nosh our way through the season. That’s a weight gain that often doesn’t go away in the New Year and lead to major weight creep over time.”

Planning for tomorrow’s dinner: I am making Christmas Eve Dinner so I can control how healthy I cook the fish dishes but Christmas day is a different story. 2 of my brothers are making homemade pasta.. So I will bring my healthy “comfort food”. I have a couple of sisters who are Vegan so I offered to bring a Marinara Sauce.

Problem solved. I’m bringing my own.
